“Focused, fun and varied” – this is how I describe Nikki’s personal training. Nikki has the ability to make training hard enjoyable – she is very encouraging and no two sessions are the same so there is no chance of getting bored. Whether you are new to the gym or have been training for some time, I would highly recommend Nikki as a personal trainer.
I’ve been training with Nikki originally since 2008 (prior to the addition to her family!) and was always impressed with her professionalism and dedication. A good friend of mine trained with Nikki and highly recommended her to me, so when it came to looking for a more personalised gym programme, I’d have to say the decision was pretty quick and decisive!
Nikki trained me specifically for my first marathon – New York 2013 – a milestone in two ways as it was my 50th birthday only a week prior to the event. Nikki was absolutely outstanding in getting me motivated and fully prepared for this event. It was such a success that I’ve since continued training with her for my next two marathons (Rotorua and Queenstown). Her friendly manner, approachability and complete professionalism to her clients is second to none. I even look forward to my training sessions!
When I moved to Auckland and joined the gym I’d already managed to lose about 20kgs (I was about 92kgs at my heaviest) but I had only been doing cardio and still felt a bit flabby and shapeless. I was scared of doing weights and a bit intimidated by all the different machines so I decided to try personal training.
After doing some research about some of the trainers I arranged a time with Nikki. With her background in body building and nutrition I thought she would be just the right one to give my taining the big kick start it needed.
AND I LOVED IT.
Nikki’s enthusiasm and encouragement helped me to lose another 5kg’s, tone up and start feeling really good about myself. She got my hooked on weight training and she educated me in how to make healthy choices when it came to my diet.
Nikki’s passion for training and nutrition sparked my passion for it too, so much so that I ended up doing some study and becoming a personal trainer myself. 8 years on we’re still great friends and she’s always more than happy to chat about ideas or give nutritional advise and she’s a wealth of knowledge on everything from weight training, nutrition, stretching, cardio training etc.
